徐光启简介
徐光启（1562—1633），上海人，天主教徒，官至礼部尚书、文渊阁大学士，明代著名科学家、天文学家、农业科学家。1604年中进士，考选为翰林院庶吉士。从政之余随利玛窦问学，并于之合译《几何原本》前6卷。1608邀意大利耶稣会士郭居静道上海传教，在家中设立教堂，并在其亲友、佃户中发展教徒，是为天主教传入上海之始，并将《测量法仪》参以《周髀算经》、《九章算术》，中西会通，加以整理，并撰成《测量异同》，《勾股义》。

The poet is wondering at the perfect immensity of the marvelous Creation in all that he sees around him.
